Acemhöyük
Acemhöyük is a large settlement mound near Aksaray in central Turkey, occupied from the Early Bronze Age. Excavations since 1962 have uncovered two palaces of the 19th and 18th centuries BCE, with clay sealings, ivories and goods linked to the Old Assyrian trade network. Many scholars identify it with Purushanda (Burushattum), a wealthy city named in the Assyrian merchants' letters, though the identification is debated.
