Acraephia
Acraephia was an ancient city of Boeotia in central Greece, on the eastern shore of Lake Copais below Mount Ptoon. It controlled the nearby sanctuary of Apollo Ptoios, an oracle whose dedications include many archaic kouroi statues. The site lies by the modern village of Akraifnio, and inscriptions found there are an important source for the history of the Boeotian League.
