Amago Yoshihisa

1540–1610 · 16th century

Amago Yoshihisa was the last head of the Amago clan of Izumo. After a long siege of Gassan-Toda castle by Mōri Motonari, he surrendered in 1566, ending the Amago as a ruling house. He spent the rest of his life as a retainer of the Mōri, while his former vassals tried in vain to restore the clan.
