Amnisos

Amnisos is an ancient harbour site on the north coast of Crete, east of Heraklion, that served as a port of Knossos. Excavations revealed a Minoan villa with frescoes of lilies, and the nearby cave of Eileithyia, goddess of childbirth, is mentioned in Homer's Odyssey. Its name appears in the Linear B tablets from Knossos as a-mi-ni-so.
