Amorgos
Amorgos is a Greek island in the south-eastern Cyclades. In antiquity it had three cities, Arcesine, Aegiale and Minoa, the last traditionally settled from Samos, and in 322 BCE its waters saw the defeat of the Athenian fleet by the Macedonians. Today it is known for the Byzantine monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, built into a sheer cliff.
