Angus
Angus is a council area and historic county on the east coast of Scotland, between the Tay estuary and the Grampian mountains, with towns such as Forfar, Arbroath and Montrose. In the early Middle Ages it was a Pictish heartland, rich in carved stones such as those at Aberlemno, and later one of the ancient earldoms of Scotland. The Declaration of Arbroath was issued from its abbey in 1320.
