Annales Cambriae

Also known as Welsh Annals

The Annales Cambriae, or Welsh Annals, are a set of Latin chronicles compiled in Wales, the oldest version probably at St Davids in the 10th century. They record events from the mid-5th century onwards, including the battles of Badon and Camlann, the deaths of kings and the attacks of Mercians and Vikings. They are a basic source for early medieval Wales, though their earliest entries are of uncertain value.
