Ansedonia

Ansedonia is a hilltop locality on the coast of southern Tuscany, part of the comune of Orbetello. It occupies the site of Cosa, a Roman colony founded in 273 BCE, whose walls, forum and harbour remains survive. In the 16th century it was one of the coastal strongpoints kept by Spain in the State of the Presidi.
