Antisuyu
Antisuyu was the north-eastern quarter of the Inca Empire, covering the eastern slopes of the Andes and the edge of the Amazonian forest beyond Cusco. Its name is often thought to be the origin of the word Andes. The Incas held it with frontier forts against the forest peoples.
