Aulus Vibenna

6th century BCE · 6th century BCE

Aulus Vibenna (Etruscan Avle Vipinas) was an Etruscan warrior of the 6th century BCE from Vulci, brother of Caelius Vibenna. He appears in the paintings of the François Tomb, and a bucchero vessel dedicated in his name at Veii suggests he was a historical figure. Roman tradition linked his name to the legend of the head found on the Capitol.
