Bad Pyrmont
Bad Pyrmont is a spa town in Lower Saxony, in the Weser hills south-west of Hamelin. Its mineral springs made it one of Europe's fashionable spas from the 17th century, visited by Peter the Great and Goethe. It was the seat of the small county of Pyrmont, ruled with Waldeck from 1625, until it joined Prussia in 1922.
