Weser

Also known as River Weser

The Weser is a river of north-western Germany, formed at Hann. Münden by the confluence of the Werra and the Fulda and flowing about 450 km north through Lower Saxony past Minden and Bremen to the North Sea at Bremerhaven. In Roman times it ran through the lands of the Cherusci and other Germanic peoples, and later it carried the trade of the Hanseatic port of Bremen.
