Battle of Albulena
The Battle of Albulena was fought on 2 September 1457 in central Albania, when Skanderbeg defeated a large Ottoman army under Isa Bey Evrenos. Skanderbeg had withdrawn into the mountains, letting the Ottomans spread out to plunder, before attacking their camp by surprise. The victory was among his greatest and brought him praise across Christian Europe.
