Bin Tepe
Bin Tepe, Turkish for 'thousand mounds', is a royal cemetery of the Kingdom of Lydia north of Sardis in western Turkey. It contains over a hundred burial mounds, including the tumulus of Alyattes, more than 350 metres across, which Herodotus ranked among the greatest works of man, and a mound often linked with Gyges. Most were robbed in antiquity.
