Artemis

Artemis was the Greek goddess of hunting, the wilderness, wild animals and childbirth, daughter of Zeus and Leto and twin of Apollo, born, according to myth, on the island of Delos. She was worshipped throughout the Greek world, and her temple at Ephesus was counted among the Seven Wonders. The Romans identified her with Diana, and in the East she was often equated with local goddesses.
