Brora

Brora is a village on the east coast of Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands, at the mouth of the River Brora. The surrounding valley, Strath Brora, is rich in Iron Age brochs. From the 16th century Brora had a coal mine, unusual in the Highlands, and it later had a woollen mill and the Clynelish whisky distillery.
