Bucinobantes
The Bucinobantes were an Alemannic people of the fourth century, living on the right bank of the Rhine opposite Mainz. Their king Macrianus resisted the emperor Valentinian I, who tried in vain to capture him and to replace him with Fraomarius, before making peace with him on the Rhine in 374. They are known chiefly from the history of Ammianus Marcellinus.
