Buffalo River (KwaZulu-Natal)
The Buffalo River, or Mzinyathi, is a river in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, a major tributary of the Tugela. In the 19th century it formed part of the boundary between the British colony of Natal and the Zulu Kingdom. Rorke's Drift, scene of a famous defence in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, lies at a crossing on the river.
