Anglo-Zulu War
The Anglo-Zulu War was fought between Britain and the Zulu Kingdom from January to July 1879, after the high commissioner Sir Bartle Frere demanded that King Cetshwayo disband his army. The Zulu destroyed a British column at Isandlwana, but were defeated at Rorke's Drift, Kambula and Gingindlovu and finally at Ulundi. Cetshwayo was captured and Zululand was divided among appointed chiefs.
