KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal is a province on the east coast of South Africa, created in 1994 by merging the province of Natal with the KwaZulu homeland. Its largest city is Durban and its capital Pietermaritzburg. The region was the heartland of the Zulu Kingdom, became the British colony of Natal in the 19th century, and remains home to most of South Africa's Zulu-speaking population.
