Burghausen
Burghausen is a town in Upper Bavaria on the Salzach river, which forms the border with Austria. Its castle, stretching for over a kilometre along a ridge above the old town, is regarded as the longest castle complex in the world. The dukes of Bavaria-Landshut used it as a secondary residence, fortress, treasury and prison in the 15th century.
