Byeongnando
Byeongnando was the main international port of the Korean kingdom of Goryeo, on the Yeseong River near the capital Kaegyong (modern Kaesong). Song Chinese, Japanese, Khitan and Jurchen merchants traded there, and in the eleventh century Arab merchants also arrived, through whom the name Goryeo is thought to have reached the West as Korea.
