Cayuga Lake
Cayuga Lake is the longest of the Finger Lakes of central New York, about 61 km long, with the city of Ithaca at its southern end. It lay at the heart of the homeland of the Cayuga, one of the five original nations of the Iroquois Confederacy, who lived in villages along its shores until the American Revolutionary War. The lake drains north towards Lake Ontario.
