c. 1030 · 11th century

Christ Church Cathedral is the medieval cathedral of Dublin, founded around 1030 by the Norse king Sitric Silkbeard and Dúnán, the first bishop of Dublin. The Anglo-Normans rebuilt it in stone from the 1180s, and it is now the cathedral of the Church of Ireland's diocese of Dublin and Glendalough.
