Clandeboye O'Neills

Also known as Clann Aodha Buidhe

The Clandeboye O'Neills, in Irish Clann Aodha Buidhe, were a branch of the O'Neill dynasty of Tyrone that crossed the River Bann in the 14th century. They took over much of south Antrim and north Down from the declining earldom of Ulster and formed the lordship of Clandeboye. Their power ended in the early 17th century, when their last lord, Con O'Neill, lost most of his lands to Scottish settlers.
