Claros
Claros was an ancient sanctuary and oracle of Apollo in Ionia, on the west coast of Asia Minor, in the territory of Colophon near modern Ahmetbeyli in Turkey. Its oracle, delivered through a priest who drank from a sacred spring, was among the most famous of the Greek world and flourished especially in the Roman imperial period. The temple ruins were excavated in the 20th century.
