Clos de Vougeot
The Clos de Vougeot is a walled vineyard of about 50 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, created by the monks of Cîteaux Abbey from the early twelfth century. Its château, with medieval cellars and a Renaissance building, is the seat of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. Today the grand cru vineyard is divided among some eighty owners.
