Fontaine-lès-Dijon

Fontaine-lès-Dijon is a small town just north of Dijon in the Côte-d'Or department of Burgundy. It is the birthplace of Bernard of Clairvaux, born there in 1090 in the castle of his father, the knight Tescelin, and the site of his family home has long been a place of pilgrimage in his honour.
