Dacians

The Dacians were an ancient people of the Carpathian region and the lower Danube, in what is now Romania and neighbouring lands, closely related to the Thracians and the Getae. Burebista united them in a powerful kingdom in the 1st century BCE, and under Decebalus they fought Rome until Trajan conquered them in 106 CE and created the province of Dacia.
