Davos is a town in the canton of Graubünden in eastern Switzerland, set in a high Alpine valley at about 1,560 metres. The League of the Ten Jurisdictions was formed there in 1436, and in the 19th century it became a health resort for tuberculosis patients, the setting of Thomas Mann's The Magic Mountain.
