Dawaro
Dawaro was a historic Muslim region and polity in the south-eastern highlands of present-day Ethiopia. It was incorporated into the Ethiopian Empire during the southward expansion of Amda Seyon I in the fourteenth century, alongside Bale and other Muslim sultanates. Its absorption formed part of the empire's medieval consolidation.
