Dukuza
Dukuza was the royal capital built by the Zulu king Shaka around 1827 near the coast north of Port Natal, in what is now KwaZulu-Natal. Shaka was assassinated there in September 1828 by his half-brothers Dingane and Mhlangana. The colonial town of Stanger later grew on the site, and it was renamed KwaDukuza in 2006.
