Dümmer
The Dümmer is a shallow lake in Lower Saxony, Germany, near Diepholz, the second-largest lake in the state. Surrounded by moors and wet meadows and fed and drained by the Hunte river, it is an important reserve for water birds. Its shores are rich in remains of Stone Age settlement preserved in the peat.
