Hunte

The Hunte is a river in Lower Saxony, Germany, about 190 kilometres long and a left tributary of the Weser. It rises in the hills near Osnabrück, flows through the Dümmer lake and past Diepholz and Oldenburg, and joins the Weser at Elsfleth. In the Middle Ages it linked small territories such as the counties of Diepholz and Oldenburg.
