Fils (river)
The Fils is a river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about 63 km long and a right tributary of the Neckar. It rises on the Swabian Jura near Wiesensteig and flows past Geislingen an der Steige and Göppingen to join the Neckar at Plochingen. Its valley carried the old road, and later the railway, from Stuttgart to Ulm up the steep Geislinger Steige.
