Göppingen

Göppingen is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, on the River Fils east of Stuttgart. Lying below the Hohenstaufen hill, the ancestral seat of the Staufer emperors, it became an industrial town in the nineteenth century, and the toy and model railway maker Märklin, founded there in 1859, still has its headquarters in the town.
