Gorani language
Gorani is a Northwestern Iranian language spoken in parts of the Zagros on both sides of the Iran–Iraq border, closely related to Zazaki. From the 16th to the 19th century it served as the literary language of the Ardalan court at Sanandaj and of many Kurdish poets, before Sorani largely replaced it. It is also the sacred language of the Yarsani faith.
