Gorazd of Carantania

d. c. 752 · 8th century

Gorazd was a prince of Carantania, the son of Borut, who succeeded his father around 750. He had been brought up as a Christian hostage in Bavaria, and his short rule, lasting only a few years, continued the Christianisation of the Carantanian Slavs under Bavarian overlordship.
