Swabian Jura

Also known as Swabian Alb

The Swabian Jura, or Swabian Alb, is a limestone upland in south-western Germany, running about 200 km from the Black Forest to the Ries crater. Its steep northern edge was crowned by medieval castles such as Hohenzollern, Teck and Helfenstein, seats of noble families, while imperial towns such as Reutlingen grew at its foot.
