Frösö Runestone

11th century · 11th century · Also known as Frösöstenen

The Frösö Runestone is an 11th-century runestone on the island of Frösön in Jämtland, Sweden, and the northernmost Viking Age runestone in the country. Its inscription states that Östman, son of Gudfast, raised the stone, built a bridge and had Jämtland Christianised, making it a rare record of the region's conversion.
