Gang Canal
The Gang Canal is an irrigation canal in north-western India, built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner and opened in 1927. It carries water from the Sutlej at Ferozepur in Punjab into the desert of northern Bikaner, where it turned the area around Sri Ganganagar into productive farmland. It was one of the largest irrigation works of any Indian princely state.
