Georgians
The Georgians are a Kartvelian-speaking people of the southern Caucasus who form the majority of the population of Georgia. Christian since the conversion of the Kingdom of Iberia in the 4th century, they have their own script and church, the Georgian Orthodox Church. Divided for much of their history among rival kingdoms and principalities, they were united under the Bagrationi dynasty, most gloriously in the 12th and early 13th centuries.
