Guy of Lusignan

Also known as King Guy

Guy of Lusignan was a French nobleman who became King of Jerusalem through his marriage to Queen Sibylla. He commanded the crusader army that was defeated by Saladin at the Battle of Hattin in 1187, where he was captured. The defeat allowed the Ayyubid Empire to take Jerusalem and most of the crusader kingdom.
