Harlech
Harlech is a small town on Cardigan Bay in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, in the old district of Ardudwy. Edward I built Harlech Castle there between 1283 and 1289 after his conquest of Wales. Owain Glyndŵr captured the castle in 1404 and held a parliament there before the English retook it in 1409, and its long Lancastrian defence in the 1460s is remembered in the song 'Men of Harlech'.
