Cardigan Bay

Cardigan Bay is a large bay of the Irish Sea on the west coast of Wales, stretching from the Llŷn Peninsula in the north to Strumble Head in Pembrokeshire. Its coast includes Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and Barmouth, and its waters are known for bottlenose dolphins. Welsh legend tells of a drowned kingdom, Cantre'r Gwaelod, beneath the bay.
