Harris Papyrus

The Harris Papyrus is a long Egyptian papyrus from the reign of Ramesses III's successor, recording the king's donations to temples. It shows that the temples of Amun owned vast lands and resources. It is a key source for the economic power of the priesthood in the late Egyptian New Kingdom.
