Land of Punt
The Land of Punt was a region known to the ancient Egyptians as a source of incense, myrrh, ebony, gold and exotic animals. Its exact location is uncertain but is generally placed along the southern Red Sea coast or the Horn of Africa. The Egyptian New Kingdom sent trading expeditions there, most famously under Hatshepsut.
