Land of the Bow
The Land of the Bow, Ta-Seti in Egyptian, was a name used by the ancient Egyptians for Nubia, reflecting the renown of Nubian archers. Skilled archery was a long-standing hallmark of Nubian warfare. The Kushite Empire's armies drew on this tradition in their campaigns, including the conquest of Egypt under Piye and Taharqa.
