Hathor

Hathor was one of the principal goddesses of ancient Egypt, associated with the sky, love, music, motherhood and foreign lands, and often shown as a cow or a woman with cow horns and a sun disc. Her main cult centre was Dendera. Egyptians identified the Baalat Gebal, the goddess of Byblos, with Hathor, who was worshipped as 'Lady of Byblos' and of the turquoise mines of Sinai.
