Hawwara
The Hawwara are a Berber tribal confederation, originally of Tripolitania in present-day Libya. In the 8th century they supported Ibadi Kharijite imams there, and branches spread across North Africa and to al-Andalus, where the Banu Razin of Albarracín claimed Hawwara origin. From the late 14th century Hawwara groups settled in Upper Egypt, where their emirs became the dominant power until 1769.
